Karsten Bleymehl is the founder of MRC – Materials Research & Consulting and advises companies worldwide on the identification, development, and implementation of innovative materials and technologies.

Originally trained as an industrial mechanic and holding a degree in product design, he has been working for more than 20 years as a consultant in the fields of material innovation, manufacturing processes, and material-driven product design.

From 2005 to 2013, he played a key role in establishing the German office of Material ConneXion, where he served as Director Library & Materials Research at the internationally recognized materials-driven innovation consultancy.

In 2013, he founded MRC to support companies worldwide in material innovation, sustainable product development, and technology transfer. In 2019, he additionally founded The Circular Materials GmbH, which develops custom materials made from recycled plastics and recycled fibers.
